Rules of Play
1. If you meet the following criteria, you are eligible to purchase 50/50 Inspiration Lottery tickets:
● Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchase
● Must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase
● Must not be one of the following:
● Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation staff
● An employee of the supplier of the BUMP 50/50 System
● An employee of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
● Members of the same household of each of the above
2. Tickets will be sold online using the electronic raffle system supplied by BUMP, a division of CBN. The official online website for ticket sales is 5050inspirationlottery.ca. Tickets sold through the website are provided to the ticket holder via a valid email address.
3. The lotteries below will occur in the province of Ontario:
a) Draw #1: Tickets will be sold from 8:30 am on January 26, 2026 to 11:59 pm on February 26, 2026.
All tickets purchased by 11:59 pm on February 5, 2026 will be eligible for the first early bird draw that will take place at 11:00 am on February 6, 2025.
All tickets purchased by 11:59 pm on February 17, 2026 will be eligible for the second early bird draw that will take place at 11:00 am on February 18, 2026.
The grand prize draw will take place at 11:00 am on February 27, 2026. The grand prize will be half of the sales.
b) Draw #2: Tickets will be sold from 8:30 am on September 28 2026 to 11:59 pm on October 28, 2026.
All tickets purchased by 11:59 pm on October 8, 2026 will be eligible for the first early bird draw that will take place at 11:00 am on October 9, 2026.
All tickets purchased by 11:59 pm on October 20, 2026 will be eligible for the second early bird draw that will take place at 11:00 am on October 21, 2026.
The grand prize draw will take place at 11:00 am on October 29, 2026. The grand prize will be half of the sales.
The winners of the early bird draws will remain eligible for the grand prize draw.
4. Tickets are:
5 for $10
30 for $25
150 for $50
300 for $75
5. Each early bird prize will be $1,000 and awarded by cheque for each scheduled draw.
6. After ticket purchase, the sellers will provide patrons with a receipt that includes their 50/50 registered numbers selected by a Random Number Generator (RNG). No specific numbers can be given as numbers are randomly generated.
7. Refunds for 50/50 ticket purchases are not permitted.
8. Winning ticket numbers will be selected by a RNG system from all lottery numbers sold for the draw.
9. The amount of the 50/50 lottery will be determined based on the number and value of tickets purchased. This information will be updated online in real time at https://5050inspirationlottery.ca .
10. The winning number will be announced online at https://5050inspirationlottery.ca, and on Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.
11. Winners will be contacted by phone and/or email after each draw.
12. By purchasing 50/50 Inspiration Lottery tickets, each patron agrees to have their first name, last initial, and city of residence shared on https://5050inspirationlottery.ca for an extended period of time, as well as in Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation emails and social media channels, in the event the patron is declared a prize winner.
13. The winner must claim their prize by sending Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation a copy of their winning ticket number as well as photos of the front and back of a valid Government issued ID to inspirationlottery@hhsc.ca. The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted on the lottery website for which they bought their ticket. Winners must have the original winning ticket and no copies. All payments will be made by cheque.
14. The winning ticket holder has six months to claim their prize from the date of the draw their ticket was purchased for.
15. The winner must provide their name, address and phone number with government-issued photo ID for our report sheet.
16. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, they will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize. If the winner cannot provide photo ID, the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.
17. In the event a winner does not come forward, the winning number will be kept on file in a secure location and held for six months. After that time period has elapsed, the prize will be donated to Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
18. The above set of rules will be posted online at https://5050inspirationlottery.ca/.
